Closed Accounts do not need to say "Closed By Consumer"

Most lenders do not read your actual credit report. They simply look at your credit score. If your accounts are closed because you defaulted, there will be ample documentation and other negative information on your account history. If the account was closed due to inactivity, it will simply be marked as closed. If you closed your own accounts it will make no deference to the FICO formula.

You can contact the credit bureaus and request that they list accounts that you closed as "Closed By Consumer" but you will spend lots of energy and at the end it will not change your credit score. Instead, you should use this energy on cleaning up inaccurate negative information on your credit history report.
